There is much optimism in the hospitality industry in જયપુર, which has become known as the “Pink City.” It is a key component of the popular golden triangle, with Agra and Delhi completing the angle.

કેટલાક નવી હોટલો have opened and many more are in the pipeline, showing confidence that more domestic and international  tourists will throng to the city. The MICE and wedding market is also boosting this sentiment.

The recent opening of the Sarovar Premiere on Tonk Road has added a vibrancy and brightness to the hotel scene, and general manager Vikram Singh Rathore is confident of getting more upmarket tourists as well as guests for weddings, cuisine attractions, flute, puppet shows, and mehendi – coloring of hands – are some attractions at the Sarovar, with a wide network spread all over the country and a few abroad.

The fast-expanding Cygnett chain, which has 20 operational hotels, has come up with a property in Jaipur also in the Bani Park area. The 5-year-old chain will soon have a presence in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. It already has a hotel in Nepal – Zone by the Park – in Bani Park, and is showing good growth in revenues and guest satisfaction, according to GM S. S. Shekawat, who is moving to open the 93-room hotel, Zone Palace by The Park, in Jaipur, encouraged by the success of the Zone, which has been a success story tied up between the Apeejay and the Southern Hotels, led by Krishna Mohan. The Zone Palace will cater to wedding and MICE also. In the past 5 years, an inventory of over 1,500 rooms has been added, and the next few years will see another 500 or so rooms, say industry watchers and players.

The presence of Accor and Hyatt will be seen soon, and Clarion has already set up shop. Marriott and Fairfield have also touched Jaipur. Fern, The Lalit, and Royal Orchid are already familiar names, and the Rambagh Palace, Rajputana, the Raj Vilas, and Clarks are traditional favorites, keeping the hospitality industry vibrant and alive.
